As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, attention once again turns to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem more scorable but offers no gifts either. This combination brings every year a highly competitive field and early sporting excitement.
From a German perspective, the tournament kickoff is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will compete. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.

Another big topic is Brooks Koepka’s comeback on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a grouping that is sure to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already strong field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 17:30 and Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 (all times in German time).
