Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh is ready for more, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This was a mutual, friendly agreement according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is known as a competitive player who thrives in high-level competition, which he somewhat lacked at LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 primarily due to injury concerns and to secure a good retirement sum. His skipping the final contracted season is not surprising, though questions remain about buyout or repayment of guarantees. He remains the owner of LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

The main speculation concerns which tours Koepka will play on next—immediately eligible for the DP World Tour, likely with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance, following reduction of previous lifetime bans. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool after not renewing post-2022.
