Schott Battles for the Lead on the DP World Tour Moving Day in Bahrain

Freddy Schott fought for the lead on the third day of the DP World Tour in Bahrain ahead of the final round. With a flawless front nine and four birdies, he took the lead early from leader Calum Hill. Hill had lost his two-shot advantage quickly with three bogeys and only one birdie in the first six holes. Schott caught up with birdies on holes 3 and 5, extending his lead with further successes on holes 8 and 9 thanks to precise approach shots and secure putting.

However, bogeys on holes 12 and 13 brought Schott back, tying again with Hill. Both birdied the 14th to reach a temporary total of -15. Calum Hill reclaimed the lead with another birdie on the 15th, while Schott couldn’t mount a decisive attack and made an unfortunate bogey on 18. Hill heads to the final day with a two-shot lead (-16) over Schott (-14).

After the round, Schott said: \”I’m a bit disappointed with the three-putt on the last hole, but it was a good day. We are just doing what we have done so far. I thought it might take two days to catch him (Hill). He had some troubles on the first holes, and suddenly we were tied. I will continue to aim to catch him tomorrow and I’m looking forward to it. It would be great if it works out, but it’s still a bit early to think about
