DP World Tour: Freddy Schott’s Second Eagle of the Week
Following an excellent round on Thursday, Freddy Schott aimed to replicate his performance on Friday to secure a strong weekend position. He started well with a birdie on hole 1, recovered from a wayward drive on hole 3 to make a second birdie, and added a third birdie on hole 9. On the back nine, Schott birdied hole 13 and scored his second eagle of the week on hole 14 from nearly seven meters. Despite a bogey on hole 15 and another on the final hole, he finished with a 5 under par round, placing him second going into the weekend.
Nicolai Von Dellingshausen did not quite match his previous day’s performance, finishing with a 1 under par round and dropping to 14th place. Starting on the back nine, he made birdies on holes 13 and 1 but ended with two bogeys on holes 3 and 7. He remains within striking distance at 7 under par, just one stroke behind the group sharing fourth place.
Calum Hill Ties Course Record to Lead
Calum Hill played a flawless round on Friday, recording eleven birdies without any dropped shots. His 61, 11 under par, tied the course record at Royal Golf Club Bahrain and put him four strokes ahead of the field going into the weekend. The 31-year-old is chasing his first victory since the Joburg Open in March 2025.
