As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, attention turns once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The demanding South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, poses a real test, while the slightly shorter North Course, although more scorable, offers no freebies. This combination annually attracts a high-quality field and early competitive excitement.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller get the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid will face strong international competition right away on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major highlight is Brooks Koepka’s comeback on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner will tee off on the South Course alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a group sure to draw early attention from fans and the tournament alike. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to the already stellar field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday starting at 6:00 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 PM (all times in German time).
