German starters and Brooks Koepka’s comeback create excitement at the PGA Tour opener in Torrey Pines. See the tee times here.
When the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, known for its long Par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, serves as a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears more scorable but offers no gifts either. This blend creates a high-class field and early sporting excitement each year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will compete. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition directly on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major highlight is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major champion tees off on the South Course alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a group that is sure to attract early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already elite field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 17:30 and Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 (all times in German time).
