When the first tee times are announced at the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem more scorable but offers no giveaways either. This combination creates a high-class field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will all compete. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another big topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group that will draw early focus from fans and the tournament. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-quality field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 18:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 (German time).
