Major Winner Nelly Korda Questions Concept of Women’s Tomorrow Golf League

Major winner Nelly Korda is ambivalent about the new Women’s Tomorrow Golf League, criticizing the concept and leaving her participation open.

The Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) announced at the start of this year the expansion of its indoor league and revealed plans to integrate the LPGA Tour by the end of 2026. This will create the Women’s Tomorrow Golf League (WTGL), featuring top players from the LPGA Tour. While the WTGL announced initial participants such as world number one Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, triple Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, and seven-time US Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson from the United States, the name of two-time major and Olympic champion Nelly Korda has not yet appeared.

Nelly Korda Expresses Critical Views on WTGL

On Tuesday, Korda spoke critically for the first time about the newly founded league during an interview with the American golf magazine Golfweek. While training at the driving range of Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Florida, she expressed mixed feelings about the WTGL and criticized the TGL: \”I’m surprised no other players have spoken out. It’s really unfortunate that we are not playing together with the men. There is no better way to advance the sport, and it would have been revolutionary. I believe it would be the first time men and women compete on the same course for the same prize money. But I also think it’s great that we get this opportunity. Those are my mixed feelings.\”

Korda also suggested that instead of creating a separate women’s version of the TGL, integrating one woman into existing men’s teams could have been an option. She mentioned that many of her colleagues on the LPGA Tour share similar thoughts.

Additional WTGL Confirmations: Zhang and Woad Join

Recently, the WTGL also announced two new players joining the upcoming indoor league starting at the end of 2026.
