As the first tee times are announced at the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4 holes, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the somewhat shorter North Course appears scorable but offers no gifts either. This mix ensures a high-class field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition directly on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group likely to attract early tournament and fan focus. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-caliber field and makes the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 6 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 5 pm (all times in German time zone).
