Nelly Korda Critiques Women’s Tomorrow Golf League and Keeps Participation Open

Major winner Nelly Korda shows mixed feelings about the new Women’s Tomorrow Golf League, criticizes the concept, and leaves her participation undecided.

The Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) announced at the beginning of this year an expansion of their indoor league, revealing that the LPGA Tour will be integrated starting late 2026. This will give rise to the Women’s Tomorrow Golf League (WTGL), which aims to feature top LPGA players. While the WTGL announced initial participants such as world number one Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, and seven-time US Solheim Cup player Lexi Thompson from the United States, the name of two-time Major and Olympic champion Nelly Korda has yet to appear.

Nelly Korda Officially Voices Criticism of the WTGL

On Tuesday, Korda spoke for the first time about the newly founded league in an interview with the American golf magazine Golfweek. While training at the Driving Range of the Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Florida, she expressed mixed feelings and criticism toward the TGL: \”I am surprised no other players have spoken out. Korda also suggested that instead of creating a separate women’s version of the TGL, it could have been possible to integrate a woman into the existing men’s teams. She mentioned that many of her colleagues on the LPGA Tour share similar views.

Additional WTGL Commitments: Zhang and Woad Join

Recently, the WTGL announced two more additions for its upcoming indoor league starting late 2026. Rose Zhang and Lottie Woad have also decided to compete at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, joining other teams. The 27-year-old Korda stated in a press conference that she is still considering her participation. \”I am still weighing the time commitment,\” Korda said. \”I haven’t thought much about it yet as I have been fully focused on season preparation. Logistically, I believe there are still many things to be clarified. So I will evaluate my options soon.\”

The Tomorrow Golf League was founded by career Grand Slam winners Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland and Tiger Woods from the United States, together with former NBC Sports manager Mike McCarley. The second season of this
