Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Returns Immediately to PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh wants to give it another go, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major champion will remain connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for family, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka, known for his competitive spirit at the highest level, was not fully motivated during his LIV tenure. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a solid retirement fund. His opting out of the last contract year raises questions about possible buyouts or salary returns. Meanwhile, he remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation abounds about where Koepka will play next. He is immediately eligible for the DP World Tour, likely with a penalty, or the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV event, after lifetime bans were substantially softened. Reports say Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership, signaling a return to the fold.
