Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at Farmers, Vijay Singh ready for another run, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but wants more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil stated this was agreed amicably – though speculation remains. Koepka, known as a competitor motivated by top-level contests, had limited motivation at LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and securing a retirement fund. His skipping the final contracted season is not surprising, though questions about contract buyouts and his ownership of LIV team Smash GC persist.

Questions arose on which tours Koepka would play next: DP World Tour, possibly facing penalties, or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV event, following reduced lifetime bans. Returning would benefit the PGA Tour strategically. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, aiming to rejoin the player ranks after leaving in 2022.
