Patrick Reed Wins Hero Dubai Desert Classic on DP World Tour

Patrick Reed wins in Dubai, Andy Sullivan takes second place. DACH players like Schneider, von Dellingshausen, Girrbach, and Schott finish mid-field.

American Patrick Reed claimed the title at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, a gem of the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. Although Reed couldn’t quite replicate his earlier rounds on the final day, an even-par round was enough for the San Antonio, Texas pro to secure the victory.

Mixed Final Round Suffices for Victory

Reed was not error-free on the front nine, recording a bogey. On the back nine, he recovered a mistake at the 10th hole but missed twice on the green at the 11th, resulting in another bogey. He balanced this out with a birdie on the 13th hole. Finishing at 14 strokes under par, Reed comfortably secured the title ahead of France’s Julien Guerrier, Spain’s David Puig, and England’s Andy Sullivan. The win propelled Reed from 107th to second place in the Race to Dubai rankings.

DP World Tour: Sullivan Fights to Second Place

Andy Sullivan staged a strong comeback on the back nine after a rough start, securing solo second place. He began the round with four bogeys and one birdie on the front nine but made up ground with four birdies on the back nine, including a birdie on the 18th hole. Sullivan finished ten strokes under par, trailing tournament winner Reed but fending off late pressure from third-place finishers Puig and Guerrier.

David Puig closed with a 73 and shared nine under par with Julien Guerrier, who improved seven places with a solid 69 in the final round.
