Patrick Reed wins in Dubai, Andy Sullivan finishes second. DACH players like Schneider and von Dellingshausen finish mid-field.
American Patrick Reed secured the title at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, the pearl of the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. Although Reed couldn’t fully match his earlier performances on the final day, an even-par round was enough for the San Antonio, Texas pro to claim victory.
Mixed final round enough for victory
Reed was not flawless on the front nine, recording a bogey. On the back nine, he compensated for that with a birdie at the 10th hole but lost strokes again with two missed attempts on the green at the 11th, resulting in another bogey. He managed to regain par at the 13th hole. With a total of 14 under par, Reed clinched the title well ahead of France’s Julien Guerrier, Spain’s David Puig, and England’s Andy Sullivan. The win propelled Reed from 107th to 2nd place in the Race to Dubai.

DP World Tour: Sullivan fights to second place
Andy Sullivan rallied late in the final round to secure sole second place. The Englishman started poorly on the front nine with four bogeys and just one birdie. On the back nine, he recovered with four birdies, shooting a 71, and sealed his position with a birdie on the 18th. Despite finishing 10 under par, he was well behind winner Reed but was pressured until the end by both David Puig and Julien Guerrier, who finished joint third at nine under par.
Puig closed the final round with a 73, sharing ninth under par total with Guerrier, who improved seven spots on the leaderboard with a strong 69.
