Last Friday it was officially confirmed: Brooks Koepka is on the final entry list for the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour, listed between Jake Knapp and Matt Kuchar. Currently ranked only 246th in the world ranking, he is still eligible due to his third PGA Championship win three years ago and the PGA Tour Returning Member Program, which has graciously welcomed the five-time major winner back and has even started marketing with him. Fans’ interest in the 35-year-old’s first PGA Tour appearance since the 2022 Valspar Championship is expected to be high.

With this entry, Koepka’s comeback in the establishment is official; the Florida giant travels to Torrey Pines today and is most of all quite nervous ahead of this week of truth — or rather, very curious about the reception. “I realize I have a lot of work to do on my relationships with fellow players. I know that when I switched to LIV, I upset quite a few people,” Koepka admitted recently in a phone interview. “There will definitely be players who are happy and definitely some who will be angry.”
