Koepka Reinstated on PGA Tour with No Suspension, Ready to Compete

First start soon at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull launching a YouTube channel. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting on February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competitor circuit but needs more family time. This was amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka, known as a competitor who thrives on top-level challenges, showed only limited motivation in LIV. Having joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure his retirement funds, his withdrawal from the final contractual season is unsurprising, though questions about buyouts and team ownership remain. The 35-year-old still owns his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation surrounds where Koepka will next compete: the DP World Tour, likely requiring a penalty, or a return to the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance, following the significant reduction of previous lifetime bans. This question appears partially answered. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach revealed Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
