As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka, known as a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, had limited motivation in LIV. His 2022 move to LIV was mainly due to injury concerns and securing a retirement fund. Speculation continues about where Koepka will appear next, possibly the DP World Tour or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension following his last LIV appearance. Recent reports by ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reveal Koepka has formally applied to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the players’ pool after 2022.
