Patrick Reed wins in Dubai, with Andy Sullivan finishing second. DACH players like Schneider, von Dellingshausen, Girrbach, and Schott finish mid-field.

American Patrick Reed secured the title at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, the pearl of the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. Although Reed couldn’t match his earlier rounds on the final day, an even-par round was enough for the pro from San Antonio, Texas, to take the win.

Reed was not flawless on the front nine, committing at least one bogey. Although he balanced out a mistake on the back nine at the 10th hole, he missed several attempts on the 11th, resulting in another bogey. He recovered on the 13th hole, finishing the tournament at 14 under par, well ahead of Frenchman Julien Guerrier, Spaniard David Puig, and Englishman Andy Sullivan. With the victory, Reed jumped from 107th to second place in the Race to Dubai standings.

DP World Tour: Sullivan Fights for Second Place

Andy Sullivan proved his mettle in the closing stages of the final round, securing sole possession of second place. The Englishman struggled on the front nine with four bogeys and just one birdie but rebounded on the back nine with four birdies, finishing with a 71. A birdie on the 18th hole sealed his runner-up position at ten under par. He remained under pressure from David Puig and Julien Guerrier, who both finished tied at nine under par after Puig shot a 73 and Guerrier a strong 69, which moved him up seven places on the leaderboard.
