Patrick Reed Claims Victory at Hero Dubai Desert Classic on DP World Tour

Patrick Reed wins in Dubai, Andy Sullivan finishes second. DACH players Schneider, von Dellingshausen, Girrbach, and Schott place mid-field.

American Patrick Reed secured the title at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic of the DP World Tour at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, the jewel of the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. On the final day, Reed could not quite replicate his earlier success but an even-par round was enough for the pro from San Antonio, Texas, to take the victory.

Mixed Final Round Enough for Victory

Reed was not flawless on the front nine, recording a bogey. Although he balanced this at the 10th hole on the back nine, he missed two attempts to hole out at the 11th, leading to another bogey. He recovered the par at the 13th hole and finished with a total of 14 under par, clearly ahead of Frenchman Julien Guerrier, Spaniard David Puig, and Englishman Andy Sullivan. The win catapulted Reed from 107th to 2nd place in the Race to Dubai standings.

DP World Tour: Sullivan Fights to Second Place

Andy Sullivan demonstrated resilience late in the final round, recovering from a tough front nine featuring four bogeys and one birdie. On the back nine, he made up strokes with four birdies, finishing with a 71 and securing second place with a birdie at the 18th. Despite finishing at ten under par, Sullivan faced pressure from the third-place tie between David Puig and Julien Guerrier. Puig closed with a 73, tied with Guerrier at nine under par, who improved seven places with a strong 69.

DACH Players Finish Mid-Field
