Bernhard Langer reaches Top 10, Alex Cejka impresses with final day surge as Stewart Cink claims victory in Hawaii.

At the Mitsubishi Electric Championship on the Champions Tour held at the Hualalai Golf Course in Kaʻūpūlehu on the volcanic island of Hawaii, American Stewart Cink secured the trophy. The two German players, Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka, both finished near the Top 10 of the leaderboard after three rounds.

Champions Tour: Stewart Cink Dominates in Hawaii

Stewart Cink started strong on Thursday with a 66, placing himself early near the top of the leaderboard. Despite a bogey at hole 16 on his second round, he impressed on Friday with ten birdies delivering a spectacular 63. Cink closed with a 64 on the final day, finishing 23 strokes under par to claim first place.

Argentinian Ángel Cabrera followed Cink on the leaderboard, even scoring an eagle in the final round but finishing with five birdies and one bogey for a 66. Cabrera was especially dangerous on the second day, climbing to third with a flawless front nine featuring five birdies and an eagle. Though he had two bogeys on holes 11 and 17, he maintained a solid position three strokes behind Cink and two strokes ahead of South African Retief Goosen, finishing second.

Bernhard Langer Makes Steady Climb into Top 10

Bernhard Langer steadily advanced throughout the tournament. Starting with a 70 on Thursday, he followed with an impressive 64 on Friday featuring seven birdies and an eagle, offset by a single bogey on hole 15. Confident going into the final round, Langer shot 68 to secure ninth place at 14 under par.

Alex Cejka, German pro golfer of Czech origin, also rose steadily. After rounds of 68 and 70 placed him 24th going into the last day, Cejka surged with a 66, climbing twelve spots to finish twelfth at 12 under par.
