Marcel Schneider delivers near flawless performance on the DP World Tour

The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour began with four remaining German-speaking players in the field. Marcel Schneider particularly shone on Moving Day in Dubai. The German posted an almost flawless day, climbing early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the front nine laid the foundation for his solid round. His strong play around the greens paid off, with two more birdies on the back nine offsetting just one bogey on hole 17. With a round of -4, Schneider positions himself in the top 20 ahead of the final day, competing for top placements.

Reed pulls ahead before final round

At the top, Patrick Reed pulled away from the field. After a mixed front nine, the American added three birdies on the back nine and remained error-free. He carded a -5 for the day and leads by four shots at -14 overall going into the final round.

\”It’s always a great feeling to start Sunday with the lead. We’re all playing for a chance to win on Sunday. I know it won’t be easy, it’s never easy no matter how big your lead is,\” Reed said.

David Puig is the closest chaser, posting a strong -6 on Saturday with only one bogey and seven birdies, sitting at -10 after three days. Viktor Hovland also delivered a bogey-free round with seven birdies, moving him to -9 and tied for third place with Andy Sullivan ahead of the last round.

Three more German-speaking players enter top 50 after strong back nines

Behind Schneider, three other German-speaking players positioned themselves in the top 50 before the final day. Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Schott, and Joel Girrbach are all tied at -1.
