Marcel Schneider with Nearly Flawless Performance on the DP World Tour
The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour started with four remaining German-speaking players in the field. Especially Marcel Schneider shined on Moving Day in Dubai. The German had an almost flawless day and climbed early on the leaderboard. Three birdies on the first nine holes laid the foundation for his good round. His strong play around the greens paid off. Two more birdies were offset by only one bogey on the 17th. With a daily score of -4, Schneider is positioned in the top 20 before the final day, competing for top placements.
Reed Pulls Ahead Before Final Day
At the top, Patrick Reed was able to pull ahead. After a mixed front nine, the American added three birdies on the back nine and remained error-free. He goes into the final day with a daily score of -5 and an overall -14, holding a four-shot lead.
\”You’re always happy to start Sunday with the lead. We all play for a chance to win on Sunday. I know it won’t be easy, it never is, no matter how big the lead is.\”
