Marcel Schneider delivers an almost flawless performance at the DP World Tour
The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour started with four remaining German-speaking players in the field. Marcel Schneider in particular shone on the Moving Day in Dubai. The German played an almost flawless round and climbed early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the first nine holes laid the foundation for his strong round. Especially his strong play around the green paid off. Two more birdies were offset by just one bogey on 17. With a round of -4, Schneider positioned himself in the top 20 ahead of the final day and is in contention for top placements.
Reed extends lead before final day
At the top, Patrick Reed was able to extend his lead. After a mixed front nine, the American added three birdies on the back nine and remained otherwise error-free. He goes into the final round with a score of -5 for the day and -14 overall, holding a four-shot lead.

Direct pursuer is David Puig, who posted a strong -6 on Saturday with only one bogey and seven birdies, reaching -10 after three days. Viktor Hovland also impressed with a bogey-free round of seven birdies, moving him to -9 and tied for third place alongside Andy Sullivan heading into the final round.
Three more German-speaking players enter top 50 after strong back nine
Behind Schneider, three more German-speaking players positioned themselves in the top 50 ahead of the final day. Tied at -1 are Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Schott, and Joel Girrbach.
Freddy Schott started cautiously with eight pars and a bogey on the
