Marcel Schneider Delivers Nearly Flawless Performance on DP World Tour

The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour began with four remaining German-speaking players in the field. Especially Marcel Schneider shined on Moving Day in Dubai. The German carded an almost flawless day, climbing early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the front nine set the foundation for his strong round. His excellent short game proved crucial, with two more birdies on the back nine, offset by only one bogey on the 17th hole. With a day score of -4, Schneider positions himself in the top 20 ahead of the final day, contending for top positions.

Reed Extends Lead Ahead of Final Day

At the top, Patrick Reed was able to extend his lead. After a mixed front nine, the American added three birdies on the back nine and remained otherwise error-free. He posted a -5 round and a total of -14, holding a four-shot lead going into the final day.

\”It’s always a pleasure to start Sunday with the lead. We’re all playing for the chance to win on Sunday. I know it won’t be easy—it never is, no matter the size of your lead,\” Reed said.

His closest pursuer is David Puig, who posted a strong -6 on Saturday with only one bogey and seven birdies, sitting at -10 after three rounds. Viktor Hovland also performed well, carding a bogey-free round with seven birdies to reach -9 and share third place with Andy Sullivan before the final round.

Three More German-Speaking Players in Top 50 After Strong Back Nine

Behind Schneider, three more German-speaking players positioned themselves in the top 50 ahead of the final day. Tied at -1 are Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Sch
