Marcel Schneider with near-flawless performance at the DP World Tour
The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour began with four remaining German-speaking players in the field. Marcel Schneider particularly shined on Moving Day in Dubai. The German posted an almost flawless round, climbing early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the front nine set the foundation for his strong performance. Especially his solid play around the greens paid off. Two more birdies on the back nine were only offset by a bogey on the 17th hole. With a day score of -4, Schneider positioned himself in the top 20 ahead of the final round, competing for top positions.
Reed extends lead ahead of final day
At the top, Patrick Reed separated himself from the field. After a mixed front nine, the American birdied three times on the back nine, remaining otherwise flawless. He posted a day score of -5 and is leading overall at -14, four shots ahead going into the final day.

David Puig is the closest pursuer with a strong -6 on Saturday, registering seven birdies and only one bogey, bringing him to -10 after three rounds. Viktor Hovland also impressed significantly with a bogey-free round featuring seven birdies, putting him at -9 and tied for third place with Andy Sullivan ahead of the final round.
Three other German-speaking players climb into the top 50 after strong back nine
Behind Schneider, three other German-speaking players secured spots in the top 50 before the final day, all tied at -1: Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Schott, and Joel Girrbach.
Freddy Schott started modestly with eight pars and a bogey on the front nine but rallied on the back nine with four birdies and just one bogey for a -2 day score.
