Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh still eager, Charley Hull to launch on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected: Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf League season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family. This was mutually agreed, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka is a competitive type who thrives in high-level tournaments, something he lacked in LIV. He originally joined LIV in 2022 mainly to secure a solid retirement fund due to injury concerns. His choice to skip the final contract year raises questions: Did he buy out his contract or repay part of his guarantee? Is he still the owner of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch?

Speculation is rife about which fairways Koepka will soon appear on: the DP World Tour, where he would be immediately eligible, possibly with a penalty; or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance, with previous lifetime bans softened. Why be vindictive when every LIV returnee benefits the stronger Tour? ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
