TMRW Sports Announces First LPGA Players for WTGL Winter 2026-27

The WTGL will launch in winter 2026-27. TMRW Sports announces the first LPGA Tour players joining the new team golf league.

TMRW Sports has revealed the inaugural group of LPGA Tour players committed to WTGL, a new team golf platform in partnership with the LPGA. The global roster features world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time US Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Star Power Shines in WTGL

Like its predecessor TGL, the WTGL will feature some of the best stars in the sport, as shown by the impressive initial lineup. Leading the group is Jeeno Thitikul, the world No. 1 who has earned five LPGA Tour awards and seven wins. At just 22, she has topped the world rankings since August 2025 and is among golf’s brightest talents.

Also confirmed is Charley Hull, ranked No. 5 globally, with three LPGA wins and a notable 15-9-3 record across seven Solheim Cups representing Team Europe. LPGA Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 Lydia Ko will also compete, boasting 23 LPGA victories including three majors and three Olympic medals. Canada’s Brooke Henderson, the nation’s most successful golfer with 14 LPGA wins including two majors, is the fourth announced player. Rounding out the first WTGL group is Lexi Thompson, the 30-year-old American who won the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship and was the second youngest major winner in LPGA history.

“WTGL Will Be a Global Stage”

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed optimism about the WTGL’s future: “WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA stars can shine, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best golfers,” he said. “These players will excel in the WTGL’s competitive environment while fans admire their skills and connect deeply with their personalities through unprecedented access provided by the modern match-play team format.”

Scheduled to start in winter 2026/27, WTGL will present fast-paced team match plays at the purpose-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Building on the TGL presented by SoFi foundation, WTGL will highlight the talents, personalities, and teamwork of LPGA stars. It will feature essentials like microphone moments, risk-reward team decisions, and the hammer throw, alongside advanced technology with comprehensive shot data and stats seamlessly integrated into competition. With Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as lead capital partner, WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second project in partnership with the LPGA. Further details will be announced in the coming months.
