TMRW Sports Announces First LPGA Players for WTGL Starting Winter 2026-27

The WTGL will launch in winter 2026-27. TMRW Sports announces the first LPGA Tour players joining the new team golf league.

TMRW Sports revealed the first group of LPGA Tour players committed to the WTGL, a new team golf platform in partnership with the LPGA. The global lineup includes world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time US Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Major Stars Highlight the WTGL

Similar to the TGL, the WTGL will feature some of the sport’s top stars, as demonstrated by this initial wave of committed players. Leading the pack is Jenny Thitikul, the world No. 1 ranked golfer who has earned five LPGA Tour awards and seven LPGA Tour victories. She has held the top ranking since August 2025 and at just 22 years old is one of golf’s brightest talents.

Also joining next year’s new league is Charley Hull from England, ranked No. 5 in the world, with three LPGA Tour wins and a standout 15-9-3 record across seven Solheim Cups representing Team Europe.

LPGA Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 Lydia Ko will also compete in the WTGL. The 28-year-old has 23 LPGA Tour wins including three major titles and three Olympic medals.

Canada’s Brooke Henderson, the country’s most successful female golfer, was the fourth player announced by TMRW Sports. She has won 14 LPGA Tour events, including two major championships.

Rounding out the inaugural WTGL group is Lexi Thompson, a 30-year-old American who won the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, becoming the second-youngest major winner in LPGA history.

\”WTGL Will Be a Global Stage\”

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed optimism about the WTGL’s future: “The WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA stars can shine, and this first group of committed players embodies that opportunity with some of the world’s best. Fans will admire the players’ skills and build a deeper personal connection through unprecedented access provided by the league’s modern matchplay team format.”

Set to kick off in winter 2026/27, the WTGL will offer a fast-paced team matchplay season at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Showcasing the talents, personalities, and teamwork of participating LPGA stars, the WTGL builds on the foundation of the TGL presented by SoFi. It includes key TGL elements like microphone moments, risk-reward team decisions, and the hammer throw, alongside a tech-driven platform providing comprehensive shot performance data and statistical analysis fully integrated into the competition. With Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as lead capital partner, WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second venture and operates in partnership with the LPGA. More information will be announced in the coming
