TMRW Sports Announces First LPGA Players for WTGL 2026-27 Season

The WTGL launches in winter 2026-27 as TMRW Sports reveals first LPGA Tour players joining the new team golf league.

TMRW Sports has unveiled the initial group of LPGA Tour players committed to the WTGL, a new team golf platform in partnership with the LPGA. This global roster includes world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising star Charley Hull from England, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Top Stars Join the WTGL

Similar to the TGL, the WTGL will feature some of the sport’s biggest stars. This is evident with the first wave of players already committed. Leading the group is Jeeno Thitikul, world No. 1, who has earned five LPGA Tour awards and seven LPGA Tour victories. She has held the top spot since August 2025 and, at just 22 years old, is one of the sport’s brightest talents.

Also signed is Charley Hull, ranked No. 5 in the world, with three LPGA Tour wins and a stellar 15-9-3 record across seven Solheim Cups representing Team Europe. LPGA Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 Lydia Ko, aged 28, will also compete, boasting 23 LPGA Tour victories including three majors, plus three Olympic medals.

Brooke Henderson, Canada’s most accomplished golfer with 14 LPGA Tour wins including two majors, is the fourth announced player. The final player in the inaugural WTGL group is Lexi Thompson, the 30-year-old American who won the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2014, becoming the second youngest major winner in LPGA history.

The WTGL: A Global Stage for LPGA Stars

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed confidence about the WTGL’s future: \”The WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA stars can shine, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best golf talent,\” he said. \”These players will excel in WTGL’s competitive environment, while fans can admire their skills and build a deeper connection to their personalities through unprecedented access offered in the league’s modern matchplay team format.\”

Scheduled to start in winter 2026/27, the WTGL will showcase fast-paced team matchplay at the specially built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Built on the foundation of TGL presented by SoFi, it will highlight the skills, personalities, and teamwork of participating LPGA stars. Alongside the core elements of TGL such as mic moments, risk-reward team decisions, and the hammer throw, WTGL offers the same tech-driven platform providing extensive shot performance data and statistical analysis seamlessly integrated into the competition. With Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as lead capital partner, WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second project and partners with the LPGA. More details will be announced in the coming months – stay updated at
