Koepka Renewed PGA Tour Membership, No Suspension, Ready to Return

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh is back, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting on February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time. This was reportedly agreed upon amicably, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is a competitive player who thrives on top-level competition, something he rarely experienced at LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contracted season is not surprising, though questions remain about possible buyouts or refunds of guaranteed payments. Koepka still owns the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation intensifies about where Koepka will compete next — on the DP World Tour, where he would be immediately eligible, possibly paying a penalty, or on the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV event, following a softening of the lifetime bans imposed by former Commissioner Jay Monahan. The key question seems partly answered: ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
