Odyssey Introduces AI-Powered Ai-DUAL Putters for Improved Precision

Odyssey uses AI: The new Ai-DUAL putters feature intelligent insert design to enhance ball speed and putting precision.

Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its line of putters with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation and novel design. At the core is the Ai-DUAL insert, a two-layer urethane element developed with artificial intelligence. It features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer designed to provide consistent ball speed across the face and enhanced forward roll. This insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, which is deeper and more pronounced at a 19-degree angle than previous models, promoting more consistent forward roll across the face.

Entry-Level Models Also Developed with AI Technology

The Ai-DUAL putters come in various configurations. Standard models have a lightweight steel shaft with a counterweight at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. Odyssey also offers Cruiser variants with heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and longer grips for players preferring a different balance.

The Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 as a Zero-Torque Putter

An addition to the lineup is the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters featuring a modern, center-shafted design. This design positions the shaft below the center of gravity, causing the putter head to rest slightly upwards and creating a ‘zero torque’ effect. This construction keeps the clubface relatively square through the stroke. Furthermore, these models have a preset two-degree forward shaft lean to prevent accidental opening of the face during the forward press. A specially designed reverse-taper grip balances this setting and aims to provide a comfortable, parallel alignment of grip and face.
