Odyssey Introduces AI-Powered Ai-DUAL Putters for Greater Precision

Odyssey introduces AI in their new Ai-DUAL putters to enhance ball speed and putting precision through smart insert design.

Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its putter line with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation with novel design. Central to these putters is the Ai-DUAL Insert, a two-layer urethane element developed with Artificial Intelligence. It features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer designed to ensure consistent ball speed across the face and enhanced forward roll. The insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, which at a 19-degree tilt is deeper and more pronounced than previous models to promote a more consistent forward roll across the entire face.

Entry-Level Models Also Developed with Artificial Intelligence

The Ai-DUAL putters come in different versions. The standard models feature a lightweight steel shaft with a counterweight at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. For players preferring a different balance, Odyssey offers Cruiser variants equipped with heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and longer grips.

Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 as a Zero-Torque Putter

Expanding the line are the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters, which feature a modern mid-shaft design. This design positions the shaft below the center of gravity, causing the putter to rest slightly upward at the tip, achieving the so-called ‘Zero Torque’ effect. This construction helps keep the face relatively square through the stroke. Additionally, these models have a preset 2-degree forward shaft lean to prevent accidental face opening when applying forward pressure with the hands. A specially developed reverse-taper grip compensates this setup, allowing for a comfortable, parallel alignment of grip and face.
