Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back On The PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager for another go, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This amicable agreement is the official statement from LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on top-level competition, which he has found limited in LIV. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a strong retirement fund. His decision to skip the final contract year is thus not surprising though questions remain about possible buyouts or repayments. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, which appointed Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation swirls about Koepka’s future fairways — DP World Tour where he would be eligible immediately, possibly with a penalty? Or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from last LIV play after lifetime bans were softened? Why hold grudges when all returning LIV players benefit the PGA Tour’s stronger leverage? According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022, seeking reinstatement.
