With a strong team performance and a historic moment by Justin Rose, the Los Angeles team triumphs over New York in the Tomorrow Golf League.
On Tuesday at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) featured a showdown between the New York-based Jupiter Links Golf Club (featuring Max Homa, Kevin Kisner, and Akshay Bhatia) and the Los Angeles Golf Club (with Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala). The match was highlighted by the first-ever albatross in TGL history. It was in the second phase of the match, the singles, that the Los Angeles Golf Club secured a clear victory.
Triples Phase: Early Hammer Puts Los Angeles Ahead
During the triples phase, Los Angeles threw the first hammer on the second hole, securing two points early. Jupiter Links responded on the fifth hole with their first hammer, gaining an important point. Los Angeles extended their lead on the sixth hole, and after the ninth, they finished the triples with a 4:1 lead, despite Jupiter Links receiving a penalty stroke on their final triples hole.
In the singles phase, the momentum shifted strongly in favor of Los Angeles. Justin Rose opened the tenth hole (a par 5) with a confident 300-meter drive onto the fairway. Max Homa from the opposing team also hit a solid, though shorter, shot to the fairway. Homa’s second shot landed just short of the green, setting New York up well to regain points.
Historic Moment: Justin Rose’s First Albatross in TGL
Justin Rose made history on the tenth hole by hitting an albatross with a 4-iron from 210 meters, stunning fans at the SoFi Center. Even Tiger Woods smiled, admitting he’d never made an albatross in his career. This extraordinary shot extended Los Angeles’ lead to 5:1.

Final Holes Decide: Los Angeles Closes Out the Match
Los Angeles saved a hammer for the penultimate hole, which New York accepted to avoid elimination. Los Angeles won this hole with a par by Collin Morikawa, essentially sealing the victory. New York failed to gain points on the final hole, and the match ended
