Odyssey uses AI to enhance ball speed and precision in putting with its new Ai-DUAL putters.
Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its putter line with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation with novel design. Central to this is the Ai-DUAL Insert, a dual-layered urethane element developed using artificial intelligence, featuring a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer to ensure consistent ball speed across the face and improved forward roll. This insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, which is 19 degrees deeper and more pronounced than previous models to promote a smoother forward roll across the face.
Ai-DUAL Putters Offer AI-Designed Options for All Levels
The Ai-DUAL putters are available in multiple versions. Standard models feature a lightweight steel shaft with counterweight at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. For players preferring different balance, Odyssey offers Cruiser variants with heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and longer grips.
The Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 Zero-Torque Putter
An extension of the line is the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters featuring a modern mid-shaft design. This design positions the shaft below the center of gravity, allowing the putter to rest slightly upward at the tip and creating a \”Zero Torque\” effect. This construction helps keep the face more square throughout the stroke. Additionally, these models have a preset two-degree forward shaft lean to prevent accidental face opening during forward hand pressure. A specially designed reverse-taper grip offsets this setting, enabling comfortable and parallel alignment of grip and face.
