The DP World Tour stays in Dubai and moves to the Emirates Golf Club. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic starts on Thursday with seven German-speaking players in the field, including Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star power is also present with four-time winner Rory McIlroy among the favorites for the title this year.
The PGA Tour also begins on Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. Scottie Scheffler is kicking off his 2026 golf season after a stellar 2025 and aims to continue his success. A win at The American Express Championship still eludes the world No. 1. Austrian defending champion Sepp Straka returns, and German players Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid will also be competing.
On the PGA Tour Champions, the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai runs from Friday through Sunday, featuring legends including two Germans: Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka. They face competition from players like Vijay Singh, who warmed up in Hawaii last week by making the cut on the PGA Tour.
