Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh ready to compete again, Charley Hull soon launching a YouTube channel. The Back Nine.

Expected: Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7th in Riyadh; the five-time major winner intends to stay connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family. The LIV CEO Scott McNeil stated this was a mutual agreement. However, Koepka is known as a fierce competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something LIV didn’t fully provide. Having joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injuries making him consider retirement and to secure a substantial retirement fund, his decision to skip the final contracted season isn’t surprising, though questions remain about financial settlements and his ownership status with LIV team Smash GC.

Speculation is rife regarding which tour Koepka will compete on next — whether the DP World Tour, where he would be eligible immediately possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension post his last LIV appearance. Following a reduction of lifetime bans by the former commissioner Jay Monahan, Koepka formally submitted a request last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, as reported by ESPN’s Mark Schlabach.
