The week kicks off in the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour at the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay, where the first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is underway. Play was suspended due to darkness, promising a long Monday of golf. The clubhouse lead sits at -5, with Ben Taylor holding a -6 after 15 holes.
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai, moving to the Emirates GC for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic starting Thursday. Seven German-speaking players will compete: Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star power is also strong, with four-time tournament winner Rory McIlroy among the favorites.
On the PGA Tour, play begins Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. Scottie Scheffler starts his 2026 campaign looking to build on a stellar 2025 and seeking his first title at the American Express Championship. Austrian defending champion Sepp Straka returns, joined by German representatives Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid.
The PGA Tour Champions opens with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai from Friday to Sunday. Two Germans, Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka, will compete against legends including Vijay Singh, who warmed up with a made cut on the PGA Tour in Hawaii last week.
