Golf Weekly Preview: Four Tournaments with German Starters Across Tours

Four tours offer seven days of golf action from the Bahamas and PGA Tour to Dubai featuring several German players. The golf weekly preview:

Korn Ferry Tour: Long Monday in the Bahamas

The international golf week kicks off with momentum starting on the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour. The first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classics is underway at the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay. Due to the onset of darkness, the first round could not be completed as scheduled, resulting in a particularly long golf day on Monday. Currently, the clubhouse leader is at -5, while Ben Taylor is still playing strong and leads alone at -6 after 15 holes.

The tournament runs until Wednesday and is broadcast daily from 8:00 PM on MagentaTV.

DP World Tour: Star-Studded Field and Strong German Presence in Dubai

The DP World Tour remains in Dubai hosting the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club. Seven German-speaking players start on Thursday including Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul competing for a $9 million prize fund. International star power is guaranteed with Rory McIlroy, a four-time champion and favorite this year, as well as Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Reed, and Francesco Molinari in the field. Nacho Elvira, fresh off a win last week in Dubai, will also tee off with confidence.

The Dubai Desert Classic will be broadcast on MagentaTV at 8:30 AM on Thursday and Friday, with weekend coverage starting at 8:00 AM.

PGA Tour: Scheffler Starts 2026 Golf Season

The PGA Tour also begins on Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California with Scottie Scheffler starting his 2026 season. After an outstanding 2025, the world number one aims to continue his success. A win at the American Express Championship remains the only missing title for him. Austrian and defending champion Sepp Straka returns, while Ryan Gerard (2nd place at Dubai Invitational) and Patrick Rodgers (3rd place at Dubai Invitational) will look to maintain their strong form. German players Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid will also compete.

MagentaTV will broadcast daily from Thursday to Saturday starting at 5:30 PM.

PGA Tour Champions: Legends Tee Off in Hawaii

The PGA Tour Champions kicks off and concludes the golf week at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai, Hawaii from Friday to Sunday. German golf legends Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka are among the field along with international stars like Miguel Ángel Jiménez. They face competition from Vijay Singh, who warmed up with a made cut on the PGA Tour last week in Hawaii.

Live coverage from Hawaii starts Friday at 1:00 AM on MagentaTV.
