The week kicks off in the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour at the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay, where the first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is underway. Play was suspended due to darkness, promising a long Monday of golf ahead. The clubhouse lead stands at -5, while Ben Taylor holds a -6 through 15 holes.
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai, moving to the Emirates Golf Club for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic starting Thursday. The field includes seven German-speaking players: Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star Rory McIlroy, a four-time winner of the event, is also among the favorites to claim the title again this year.
The PGA Tour also starts Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California, with Scottie Scheffler opening his 2026 season. After a remarkable 2025, he aims to continue his success; however, the American Express Championship title still eludes the World Number 1. Austria’s defending champion Sepp Straka returns, alongside German representatives Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid.
The PGA Tour Champions season begins at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai from Friday to Sunday. Legends Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka represent Germany in the field, facing competition from Vijay Singh, who warmed up with a made cut on the PGA Tour in Hawaii last week.
