The week kicks off in the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour at the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay, where the first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is underway. After play was paused due to darkness, Monday promises a long day of golf with the clubhouse lead at -5. Ben Taylor holds a -6 lead through 15 holes.
The DP World Tour stays in Dubai, moving to the Emirates Golf Club for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic starting Thursday. Seven German-speaking players will compete, including Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star Rory McIlroy, a four-time tournament winner, is also among the favorites.
The PGA Tour also begins Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California, where Scottie Scheffler starts his 2026 season. After a stellar 2025, he aims to continue his success, with the American Express Championship title still missing from his portfolio. Austrian defending champion Sepp Straka returns, alongside German players Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid.
The PGA Tour Champions season opens Friday to Sunday with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai. Two Germans, Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka, are in the field, facing competition from Vijay Singh, who recently made a cut on the PGA Tour in Hawaii.
