Koepka Requests Reinstatement, DeChambeau Confirms LIV Start 2026

Bryson DeChambeau confirms LIV Golf League participation in 2026, Vijay Singh returns to PGA Tour at 62, and Charley Hull is launching her own YouTube channel. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf League season starting February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major champion will remain connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known as a competitor who thrives on high-level tournaments, had limited motivation in LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns about his career and for securing a retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contractual season is not surprising, though questions remain about financial arrangements and ownership of his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation surrounds which fairways Koepka will next play on: DP World Tour, where he could play immediately likely with a fine, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV event following softened lifetime bans. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership, which had not been extended after 2022.

DeChambeau Confirms LIV Start for 2026

Bryson DeChambeau officially confirmed he will compete in the 2026 LIV Golf season. His Crushers team, including Charles Howell III, Paul Casey, and Anirban Lahiri, will enter their fifth season unchanged. Interestingly, DeChambeau has not announced a general contract extension, leading to speculation about behind-the-scenes agreements to retain him as a prominent LIV player following Koepka’s departure.

Vijay Singh Returns to PGA Tour at 62

In a surprising move, three-time major winner Vijay Singh from Fiji is returning to the PGA Tour at age 62. Using an exemption based on his career earnings ranking, he will play his first event this week at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Singh has previously competed on the PGA Tour Champions, securing five titles including the Senior Players Championship.

TGL Struggles with TV Ratings in Second Season

Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL) faces a poor start in season two TV ratings without Tiger Woods. The opening day on ABC attracted 646,000 viewers, down from 919,000 on ESPN during season one. The second match between Atlanta and The Bay drew only 354,000 viewers. TGL creators, including Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Mike McCarley, must find a new star attraction, as Woods remains unmatched as the key rating driver. McIlroy and Woods’ teammate Tom Kim have yet to fill that role.

Charley Hull to Launch YouTube Channel

Following Bryson DeChambeau’s success with over three million YouTube subscribers, Charley Hull is launching her own channel. The 29-year-old English Malbon ambassador, known for her eccentric and glamorous style, plans to start broadcasting this summer. Hull announced this during a YouTube appearance on fellow Malbon pro Jason Day’s
