Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Play

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager for more, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, a competitor who thrives on high-level challenges, was less motivated in LIV and initially joined in 2022 due to injury concerns and securing his retirement fund. The decision not to play the final contracted season raises questions about buyouts and his ongoing ownership of the LIV Smash GC team, already captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation surrounds which tours Koepka will join next: the DP World Tour, where he might be eligible immediately (possibly with penalties), or the PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance is pending after previously harsh lifetime bans were softened. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
