The DP World Tour kicks off its International Swing in Dubai, while the PGA Tour starts the new year in Hawaii without its usual opener. Watch live on TV.
The International Swing of the DP World Tour starts with the Dubai Invitational at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event features a Pro-Am format with 60 professionals and 60 amateurs, before the pros compete for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem begin the new season.
The 2026 PGA Tour season starts unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry at Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. Players compete for $9.1 million and the first FedExCup points. Defending champion Nick Taylor participates along with past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German player Matti Schmid also competes.
