Golf on TV: World-Class Start in Dubai, PGA Season Opener in Hawaii

Glanz in Dubai, Anfang auf Hawaii: Die DP World Tour läutet den International Swing ein, die PGA Tour startet ohne gewohntes Opening-Event ins neue Jahr. Golf im TV ist live dabei.

The DP World Tour kicks off its International Swing with the Dubai Invitational at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event is played in a pro-am format with 60 professionals and 60 amateurs, before the pros compete for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem are starting the new season under the German flag.

The 2026 PGA Tour season begins unusually: The Sentry at Kapalua has been canceled due to ongoing drought. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season, featuring a $9.1 million purse and the first FedEx Cup points of the year. Defending champion Nick Taylor is competing, as are previous winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German player Matti Schmid also represents his country.
