Gregor Biernath: ‘Something New and Good Is Emerging for Golf’
Gregor Biernath, one of the most well-known golf voices in the German-speaking world, is moving from Sky TV to MagentaTV. Biernath will lead the new expert team, supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. Regarding his move, Biernath said, ‘The entire team immediately gave me the feeling that something new and good for golf is emerging here. We can innovate and refresh golf coverage at MagentaTV.’ He also described the new team as a ‘cool editorial team’ and spoke of a ‘really good mix.’
In the commentary area, new faces have also been sought and found. Michael Born, previously known as a handball and football commentator at DAZN, will commentate on golf events alongside Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, known mostly as an ice hockey presenter for MagentaSport, will also be part of the upcoming live broadcasts.
