Shine in Dubai, start in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, PGA Tour begins the year without its usual opening event. Golf on TV is live.
The Dubai Invitational marks the start of the DP World Tour’s International Swing at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood takes on a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event features a Pro-Am format with 60 professionals and 60 amateurs competing, before the professionals battle for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.
The 2026 PGA Tour season begins unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry at Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new year, with a purse of $9.1 million and the first FedExCup points of the season on offer. Defending champion Nick Taylor is participating along with former winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. Germany is represented by Matti Schmid.
