On the PGA Tour, the 2026 season starts unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. The event features a $9.1 million prize fund and the first FedExCup points of the season. Defending champion Nick Taylor returns, along with past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. Germany is represented by Matti Schmid.
