After securing exclusive broadcast rights for the Ryder Cup, DP World Tour, and PGA Tour, MagentaTV has also welcomed a prominent commentator from Sky Sport. Gregor Biernath: “Something New and Great Is Emerging for Golf”
Gregor Biernath, one of the most recognizable golf voices in the German-speaking world, is leaving Sky to lead MagentaTV’s new expert team. He will be supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. Biernath said, “The entire team immediately made me feel that something new and good for golf is emerging here. We can innovate and reshape golf coverage on MagentaTV.” He described the team as a “cool editorial team” with a “really good mix.”
MagentaTV also sought new voices for commentary. Michael Born, previously known for handball and football commentary at DAZN, will join Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel to commentate on golf events. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, known mainly as an ice hockey host for MagentaSport, will also cover the upcoming live broadcasts.
