The DP World Tour kicks off its International Swing in Dubai, while the PGA Tour begins the new year without its usual opener in Hawaii. Live coverage included.
The Dubai Invitational at Dubai Creek Resort launches the DP World Tour’s International Swing. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event starts with a Pro-Am format featuring 60 pros and 60 amateurs, with professionals competing for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem start the new season.
The PGA Tour season 2026 starts unusually: The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled due to ongoing drought conditions. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. Players compete for $9.1 million and the first FedEx Cup points of the year. Defending champion Nick Taylor participates alongside former winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German player Matti Schmid also represents the nation.
